Size reduction from coarse to superfine grinding down to minus 20 micron and product hardness up to 3 according to the Mohs scale, such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food, annual plants, leaves, roots, minerals etc.

 

The size of the in-feed material has to be smaller than 6 mm (¼”). Typical particle sizes that can be achieved are in the range of 2000 to 100 micron (10 to 170 mesh).

Material is put into a feed hopper. The vibratory feeder is metering the material into the universal mill. Size reduction is performed between stationary and rotating grinding inserts. The particle size of the end product can be adjusted by the speed of the rotor, the mesh size of the screens and the type of grinding inserts chosen. A wide variety of different grinding inserts is available. Materials can be pulverized, fiberized, homogenized and mixed. Product discharge is down to below into a collecting bin. Process air is cleaned in a dust collector.

The PPXL is a counter-rotating mill used for pulverizing greasy, sticky and moist materials under ambient temperature or for cryogenic grinding.
