Knife Mill Type PS-L
Method of Operation
The material is fed into the knife mill by hand or by sorting devices via a feeding chute or conveying belt. The size reduction takes place between the staggered knives of the slow rotating disc rotor and the bed knives. The particle size of the reduced material is determined by mesh size of the easily exchangeable screen installed at the bottom of the housing. The material is bottom discharged into a material hopper and can be conveyed pneumatically to the injection molding machine.
Granulation of sprues and runners and thin walled molded parts made of brittle as well as tough plastic materials.
Advantages & Features
- Compact construction with low feeding height
- Low noise direct size reduction
- Direct recycling of the waste material to the production process in closed circuit
- No danger of contamination or mix-up of the grinding material
- No additional cost for collecting, transporting, storage and taking the waste out of the storage again
- No cost for drying, as the material cannot absorb moisture due to immediate processing
Granulation of sprues and runners and thin walled molded parts made of brittle as well as tough plastic materials. Locating the mill directly besides the press allows an immediate recycling of the produced granules back into the processing line.
