Method of Operation

Larger and more efficient knife mills are required due to the steadily increasing production as well as the increasing demand for products from the plastic and chemical industry. Both industrial and private derived material quantities are to be recycled in house or as a valuable material.

PALLMANN supplies industrial granulators specifically adapted for each application and reliably size reduce any material that can be cut.

The industrial granulators are generally designed in fully welded steel construction, the rotors are stress relieved, precisely manufactured, and electro-dynamically balanced.

Material is size reduced between rotor- and bed knives. A screen holds material inside the grinding chamber, as long as it is too coarse. Fine material gets discharged through the screen into a pneumatic discharge system. Bottom discharge onto a mechanical conveyor or into a bin is available.

Granulating of all types of plastic materials such as thick-walled injection molding waste, purging waste, waste from pipe, profile and sheet extrusion, baled plastic bottle waste, film waste on and off-line etc.
