Systems for the Sugar Industry
Sugar powder, produced from crystal
sugar, is used in bakeries and pastry shops as well as
in other fields of the confectionery and foodstuff
industry.
The goal of the pulverizing
process is to achieve an excellent end product with a
low percentage of inverts, good color value as well as
excellent flowability. When the PALLMANN sugar
pulverizing systems were designed,
operator-friendliness, very compact installation of the
system and, additionally, fully automatic operation were
taken into account.
There is always the danger
of dust explosion when grinding sugar, therefore
PALLMANN grinding systems are generally in explosion
pressure proof design up to 10 bar. The sugar is fed
into the Universal Mill, type PX via an explosion proof
rotary air lock. Rotating pin grinding discs grind the
sugar by impact. The produced sugar powder falls into a
hopper and is discharged via a rotary air lock. The
system concept avoids air being sucked in and moisture
getting into the material.
