Recycling of Fiber Waste

Chemical fibers surround and clothe us every day as they exist in almost any type of textiles and clothing as well as in fleece, carpets, etc.  The types of fiber are mainly polyamide, polyester and polypropylene.

Knife mills for highest demands are necessary for the processing of fiber waste.  reliability and precision in knife gap setting as well as maintenance friendliness and long life are called for.

PALLMANN offers well proven standard machines in different sizes for these applications.  Trough feed granulators as well as knife mills with material inlets for feeding via conveyor belts are used.  The PALLMANN cutting technology prevents fibers from wrapping around the rotor.

An increase of bulk density is necessary so that the fiber can be re-introduced into production.  PALLMANN offers a well-proven system for the continuous production of free-flowing agglomerate with high bulk density by means of the Plast-Agglomerator System.  During fiber processing in the Plast-Agglomerator, the material is only exposed too minimal thermal stress as agglomeration is performed with frictional heat below the melting point, therefore preventing any yellowing of the agglomerate.  Viscosity is insignificantly reduced.
