The
ORIGINAL PALLMANN pulverizing system with Disc
Mill, type PKM is employed for the pulverizing
of virgin granules and compounds for the
production of masterbatches. Heat sensitive
materials such as PS, PC, PA and other
thermoplastics can be processed at ambient
temperature.
Method of Operation
A
vibratory feeder evenly feeds the granules from
the storage bin into the Disc Mill, type PKM. An
all-metal separator can be installed in order to
protect the mill. Pulverizing is effected
between the serrated grinding elements of a
rotating and a stationary grinding disc. The fan
sucks the powder from the Disc Mill and conveys
it to the cyclone. The finished powder is
discharged through a rotary air lock into a bin.
An automatic filter (optional) cleans the
discharged air of the cyclone. The entire system
is fully automatically controlled from a control
cabinet.
