| Applications Size reduction of massive and fused lumps weighing up to 50 kg, bulky materials such as barrels up to 160 l of capacity, reject tubes of a max. diameter of 710 mm and a max. length of 6m, full profiles of max. diameter of 300mm, leather scraps, wood scraps, rags, cotton stalks, rubber bales and old tires. Method of Operation The material is fed into the knife mill via a wide, spacious feeding chute. The rotor knives working under a favorable cutting angle, reduce the material at the robust counter-knives. An ideal cutting, with a low percentage of fines, high capacity, and with low specific power consumption, is the result of the method of loosening up and cutting the material. The particle size of the reduced material is determined by mesh size of the easily exchangeable screen installed at the bottom of the housing. Vertical bottom discharge. | Special Features Robust construction suited for the hardest workloads Rotors adapted to the material and size reduction problem Pre-adjusted rotor and housing knives Swing out Screen Few, easily exchangeable wear parts Smooth running because of high mass weight Bearings protected by sealed intermediate chambers Electro-hydraulic system for the easy opening of the two part housing Good accessibility of the cutting chamber allows easy and intensive cleaning and quick screen change Safety Features: Limit switch to prevent start up when mill is open. Electro-hydraulic system can only be actuated after standstill of rotor.
