Adequately prepared waste wood represents a valuable raw material source.
The PALLMANN Impact Hammer Shredder, type PHPS converts pre-shredded waste
wood of any kind into valuable raw material for reutilization in board
production or energy generation. Even contaminated materials can be fed into
the shredder. Foreign matter, traveling in the feed stock is separated and
automatically discharged.
Method of Operation
 The feed material is
introduced into the shredder vertically from above. Heavy rotating hammers
hit in an upward action against the feed material
and
throw it against the inside of the housing top above the rotor where it will
be pre-broken by impact. The wood pieces are split along the grain, metal
contaminants enclosed into the wood are set free in the special feed chute
because of their different ballistic curve. The final preparation is
effected by stationary breaker and comb bars. The opening of the heavy grid
defines the finished product size.
