Method of Operation
Installation of the
double shaft crusher is on a platform or on top
of a pit. Feeding is done with a vibratory
feeder. Material is crushed between two rolls
rotating at different speeds. Grinding gap and
grinding pressure can be adjusted. Fine material
gets discharged to the bottom of the machine
housing.
Smooth rolls are
standard. A variety of different roll designs is
available to be able to adapt to different
crushing applications. Bearings are outboard and
no grease can enter the grinding chamber. The
rolls are each driven by a gear motor. Speed
adjustment by frequency control is available as
an option, as well as hydraulic motors.
Double shaft
crushers type PDWB are used to produce powders
with narrow particle size distributions from
brittle and crystalline materials.
Typical applications
are crushing of organic and inorganic materials
in the chemical, pharmaceutical and explosives
industry, crushing of resins, pigments,
minerals, phosphate, salts materials for welding
roads and metals etc. |
