Granulation of
Carpet Waste and Floor Coverings
For the granulation of
production or post-consumer carpet and floor covering
waste, such as edge trimmings, tiles, sheets or
skeletons, PALLMANN offers heavy duty knife mills
specially design to handle such abrasive, rough and high
throughput continuous task.

Special shredders are used
for the precut of large rolls or bulk materials, knife
mills with hydraulic feed systems such as the
Granulator, type PSRH, with large feed openings,
allow easy feeding of mixed materials, or heavy duty
knife
mills such as the
Granulator, type PS-H that allow continuous
operation by means of manual or mechanical feed devices.
Carpet or Floor Covering
waste is also size reduced by means of
Chippers, type PHK, where the material is fed into a
horizontal conveyor belt, and load-controlled draw-in
rollers feed the cutting rotor.

Agglomeration of
Carpet Waste and Floor Coverings
The Plast-Agglomerator
type PFV
is a compact, fully automatic, and a proven
continuous system that converts light bulk density thermoplastic waste,
such as face fibers, or granulated carpet or flooring
waste,
into high quality, free flowing granules, which are
later used as valuable raw material in further processes.
The PALLMANN Agglomeration
process offers the unique advantage of material gentle
agglomeration with minimum heat and minimum
thermo-degradable damage; the material is heated up with
friction heat only and is agglomerated, within a
fraction of a second, right below the melting point.

Pulverizing of
Carpet Waste and Floor Coverings
After the agglomeration
of the carpet or floor covering waste on the
Plast-Agglomerator, the granules are fed to the
Turbofiner type PLM via a vibratory feeder.
The ORIGINAL PALLMANN
Turbofiner type PLM allows the production of
fine powder qualities from soft to medium hard
materials.
